Anyone have a Toshiba SD-399OSU region free player? Mine won’t play an all region DVD!?
I recently bought a Toshiba Sd-3990 Divx Multi Region Code Free Multi Zone Pal/ntsc DVD Player. It plays DVDs and CDs just fine, but it promises to be a region free player. If you own one of these, does it play DVDs from region 2, etc? I put it in a region 2 DVD and it says it’s not the right region. What the hell? I got it off Ebay so I’m stuck without a refund source, but it plays fine otherwise.
Try this, it may work.
Open the disc tray. On the remote press 2, 4, 0, 3, 9, 6, 0, press enter/ok on the remote. Now press 9, to set it to multi-region playing (if you want it to play a specific region press the corresponding number). Then press the close button on the remote, power off the player, then power it back on. That should be it, hope it works.
