How do i make my HP laptop immune to the remote control express model?
When i purchased my laptop it did not come with a remote. But after another laptop w/the remote entered my household i found that my laptop is also vulnerable to its control. I would like to see if there is some way short of taping everywhere near the infrared sensor to stop this device from affecting my laptop. [ex. Im in the school library and someone w/their own remote "accidentally" powered my laptop down."]
I looked on the internet in hopes to find an answer to your question but I came up with nothing. Look through your owners manual. If nothing turns up there you’ll probably have to phone HP. Was your computer supposed to come with a remote? Ask HP and see if they left one out by mistake. And if you don’t find any info in the owner’s manual then ask them how you can turn off the infrared sensor. Sorry, wish I could be of more help.
