HP w2207 always in sleep mode?
Hello good people,
Please help!
I recently got a HP mediacenter PC m9080me with HP w2007. Problem is it will never come out of sleep mode using the DVI connection. I played with drivers, tried V2.0 of w2207 monitor drivers and latest nvidia with no success. As m9080 has only DVI and HDMI connections, I’m using my LCD TV at the moment, but I’m loosing patience…
Has anyone experinced and solved this problem

ive had this issue with dual monitors, i plugged an HP monitor into my secondary port on my EVGA GeForce 9600 Superclocked Edition, the screen wouldnt come on, and when i went into the Nvidia control panel, it would show it as detected, and as soon as i set it to activate it, when i hit “Apply” it just killed it again.
i updated drivers and rebooted, problem solved.
really all you can do is check to make sure all your drivers are updated (most HP monitors have their own drivers as well, as far as i know most of them arent PnP) and configured correctly. it could be that your refresh rate is set to some incompatible level. (go for somewhere between 60 and 75, thats usually a safe zone, most HP monitors will give you a reccomended setting in its OSD, for example on my HP f1905 it says that the reccomended setting is 1280×1024 at 60HZ.)
just make sure your graphics processor is putting out signal that your monitor can display.
if that doesnt work its probably either some hardware problem with your monitor, or some crazy voodoo.
tech support shouldnt be too hard, as far as i know HP doesnt outsource.
