getting home theatersystem to play sound from tv program?
I just bought a home theater system. currently it can play dvd, images will be shown on my LCD tv, n sound from the speakers.. but now i am trying to get the speakers to play sound while watching tv program n i cant seem to achieve it. i have already connected this red n white cable from my theater system to my tv yet nothing is happening.. any ideas?

You might have to go into the audio settings on the TV and turn off the internal speakers. Some TVs have a variable audio out setting also. Another option is to run your audio cables directly from your cable or satellite box to your receiver. I find this is the best option.
